戦時下に生きる人々の姿を、スカーレット・ヨハンソンほか実力派キャストでユーモアを交えて描いた感動のヒューマン・エンターテイメント。第二次世界大戦下のドイツ。10歳の少年ジョジョは、空想上の友達であるアドルフ・ヒトラーの助けを借りて、立派な兵士になろうと奮闘していた。しかし、心優しい彼は訓練でウサギを殺すことができず、"ジョジョ・ラビット"という不名誉なあだ名をつけられてしまう。そんな中、ジョジョは母親と2人で暮らす家の隠し部屋に、ユダヤ人少女エルサが匿われていることに気づく。やがて、ジョジョは皮肉屋のアドルフの目を気にしながらも、強く勇敢なエルサに惹かれていく――。

評価とレビュー

The movie gives a sincere insight to how many Hitler Youth probably saw the war and their leader. It really makes an impression as it gives a surreal picture of the cruelties and terrifying realities in WWII that were propagated as part of the uprising to be a world power. I really appreciated this approach when the norm usually involves a mission, intense dialog and fight scenes. Definitely thought provoking.

This is a pathetic boring movie. I turned it off before it was over. The academy must have been on a week long drunk to nominate this as best picture.

Enjoyed the Humor, witty, dark. . . But also very insightful to show the change in his mind as he slowly broke the barriers that was built in him.
