Brilliant film. I would have loved it even more without the very last scene.. But I understand that the story continues with the joker being rescued by his followers from the psychiatric hospital.. So I'm guessing there's plenty of room to do a sequel, and hopefully another great Batman vs Joker afterwards, with this kind of look and darkness, such as the trilogy from Christopher Nolan that we loved so much. This movie is raw and on point. It talks about real dramas from society and the mind.

Joaquin Phoenix's 'Joker' is by far one of the most outstanding and disturbing performances I've ever witnessed in cinema. Todd Phillips' uniquely transgressive and visceral masterpiece drenches itself in nihilistic hyperrealism and tabooed themes that finally pierced through and psychologically horrified me — giving me simultaneous feelings of nausea and awe as it ended. Gritty. Bleak. Devastating. Beautiful. What a privilege.
