Jordan with a screenplay by Virgil Williams, A Journal for Jordan is based on the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King (Jordan), a soldier deployed to Iraq who begins to keep a journal of love and advice for his infant son. Back at home, senior New York Times editor Dana Canedy (Chanté Adams) revisits the story of her unlikely, life-altering relationship with King and his enduring devotion to her and their child. A sweeping account of a once-in-a-lifetime love, the film is a powerful reminder of the importance of family.

I served with 1SG Charles King- he was my company First Sergeant at the time of his passing. He was the single greatest leader I had the privilege of serving with and his story is one worth knowing. I miss him, and his impact on my life- both personal and professional- was profound. Please watch this and know it wasn't a waste.

Denzel doin' Denzel and M.B.Jordan is taking a strong hold on the 'yet to be claimed' title of best young Afrikan movie star! Put ya 'gangsta' down, grab ur #1(or#2)...or both and let it MAKE SENSE!!!

Good movie great acting. Sad but true story
