The new journey begins when young adventurer Sean (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist—a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean's new stepfather (Dwayne Johnson) joins the quest. A masterpiece. Forget water turrets, forget ultra and sub-sonic crowd control, forget microwave manipulation of body temperature. Want someone to move, put this on a screen. If thine eye offend thee pluck it out. Seriously, give me back my eyes.

It's the typical movie. Very shallow. Funny but not worth renting I suppose. I prefer journey to the centre of the earth better. But if you do, then enjoy :)

Not to be to patronising but I think most 5 star reviews are from very young people because if your over 16 you would think this movie stinks it had some nice parts to it but could have been so much better 2 stars for the plot no bad guys makes a change!
