Milton's quiet life of routine is upended when a UFO crashes in his backyard. He develops a friendship with the extra-terrestrial it carries, but complications arise when two neighbors discover the alien, "Jules," and the government quickly closes in. It's like watching a short story with good performances mixed in. If you expect a long interesting action filled movie you'll be disappointed. But it's a thoughful, slow paced look at 3 seniors dealing with a alien from other world in a very friendly and welcoming way with a happy ending that leaves you guessing a bit.

Overall a C+ rating. The bit about the dead cats and the road kill just didn't work The Alien really needed a back story and dialogue too. Great to see Kingsley, Harris & Curtain again as they were really good together.

Beautiful and heart-warming film: Ben Kingsley shines as the kind and helping senior who befriends the little alien who happens to have crash landed in his backyard bed of azaleas. Whimsical. The whole ensemble works seamlessly. The actor playing the alien, Jade Quon really pulls it off. She uses no CGI, just makeup. Highly recommend.
