This might be a "girl's movie," but it's not a chick-flick. This is a story about two women's lives; it's not about two women's relationships (or their relationship problems). That in itself was very refreshing. It's a thoroughly enjoyable comedy whose main characters just happen to be women. And speaking of, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams both transformed entirely into their characters. Usually the best actors and actresses will remind me of their other performances, but in this case I honestly felt I was watching the real Julia Child. This is a really good movie, and if you're considering watching it, just go ahead and press play already!

I must have watched this one a thousand times. No, seriously, we were moving at the time and I happened to order the DVD the week of the move. Our boxes of movies were delayed, cable had not been installed yet, and I found myself spending a week sitting on the floor with my laptop and ONE MOVIE. And I still love it. Meryl Streep & Amy Adams at the top of their games.

I loved this movie and enjoyed the cooking parts and laughed. The things I never knew about Julia Child. I really felt badly for her when she couldn't have kids. It looked like her husband was a very supportive man. Hard to find good men like that. Sure it's not a Christian movie so they wont act like Christian's if they arent born again. I've met people throughout my life that swore. Even the stuff you read in the bible is enough to turn your whole world upside down.
