If you liked the first one, hang in there! This is fun and quirky. The pacing is a bit odd at the beginning but it picks up and is very funny. My family and I laughed out loud many times. (ages 4, 11 and 40 somethings!)

This is NOT as good as the 2017 prequel. The new characters are absurd, poorly played and portray all old people as having dementia. The personalities of the new characters are inconsistent throughout the movie and do not contribute to the story in any meaningful way.

This was a very good sequal. Not at all what you expect. The characters are fresh and funny. Dwayne Johsnon and Jack Black play their roles really well. The story line respects the true Jumanji theme but is very original with a whole new perspective. Great special effects and good humour. A great film to watch that does justice to the Jumanji legacy.
