I thoroughly enjoyed this film,. While reminiscent of others in it's genre,(Fire starter) it still managed to be different and engaging. The acting was such that it seemed real, not acted at all. VERY rare accomplishment these days. KUDOS to all involved. It was so easy to lose oneself in this piece. After watching, I frantically searched for any book /series it may have come from. To date I haven't found any. I'd love to see these same actors do this film as a TV series., I want to see June grow up and see what happened before she came to the Anderson's. This film leaves me caring about this family and I long to know what comes next.

June could have been so much more, but the story lacks any kind of originality, the acting also greatly lacks in credibility, & even the music lacks originality, it sounds like a culmination of a number of well known horror movie scores! I gave June 3☆, only because I did watch the entire movie, but it's a movie I'll probably never watch for a second time.

While I did like this movie, I wonder if another will follow. If not then this one should of had a happier ending. Like the dad doesn't die, and evil is defeated.
