A very tricky film. I came out of the theatre on opening day extremely conflicted and upset after what I watched. Far too action focused, it lacked any tension, fear or attempts at Jurassic Park-esque scares. Characters don't feel as natural as the old ones, and while some scenes (apatosaurus and the final 10 minutes come to mind) are quite great, there is a lot here to be annoyed about. Not bad, but not great either. Very in the middle on this one. More dinos and less monsters next time, please.

If you need to see a good example of ownership, inheritance and careful filmmaking this is a must watch. 14 years in development, multiple rewrites, writers and a risky search for the right production director resulted in the return to the origins. Jurassic World is a love letter to the original film, with several references to Jurassic Park. It is CGI all over the screen. However there's always Deus Rex Machina to save the day.

Jurassic World ranks as one of my favourite films in the Jurassic saga. Like many fans, I found myself wondering what a fully functioning theme park of cloned dinosaurs would be like. Well, Jurassic World answered my question. I found several story elements (a fully-functioning dinosaur park & a genetically-modified hybrid dinosaur) as clever plot elements, though I didn't like the overuse of CGI. To conclude, I recommend this film to all fans of the Jurassic films.
