Honestly, I remember this movie being released but don't remember if anyone I knew ever saw it. Ironically, a little ahead of its time given the current political landscape in 2024 - both regarding trans movement and the emergence of the popularity of the WNBA reaching new highs lol

This movie is so cool especially filmed set in Charlotte, North Carolina to represent both men and women teams, the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA, and the Charlotte Sting of the WNBA. Miguel A. Núñez Jr. played as Jamal Jeffries, a basketball star whose undisciplined on-and-off-court antics have earned him a bad reputation in the basketball community. After being suspended indefinitely from the men's basketball, Jamal's life goes downhill: his endorsements drop him, he ends up bankrupt due to lavish spending, his belongings are repossessed, and his mansion is foreclosed. Jamal becomes a female impersonator named Juwanna Mann and joining the women's basketball
