In this eerily enchanting musical film by Melanie Martinez, Cry Baby, a strong and sensitive girl, is sent off to a disturbing sleepaway school that's hidden underneath a grandiose façade. Luckily, she has a sweet and unapologetic best friend who sticks up for her when she gets bullied by the other students whose brains are under control by the Principal and his wicked staff. With the help of the magical friends they meet along the way, as well as an Angelic Spirit Guide, they are able to gain the strength they need to fight off the school's belligerent patriarchal conditioning.

I love the movie, creative, well thoght out, i just really love it! i really wish it whoud come out on DVD thogh- just to see how great it whoud look- sorry, getting ahead of myself- keep up the good work!

I absolutely loved it, I love how it gives off an air of innocence. How they are playing, acting, and for the most part, dressing, gives innocence but the rest of the time everything just gives life to a whacky world and whacky people that they overcome. I also love that this has adult like subjects in an child like place, or place that treats them like little children. Definitely worth my money❤️

Melanie's dark pastel universe is addicting, the choreography is amazing, and of course, the soundtrack is breathtaking. A must watch for anyone who loves Martinez' music and style.
