From acclaimed writer/director Miranda July comes a profoundly moving and wildly original comedy. Con-artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins) have spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) into joining their next scam, only to have their entire world turned upside down.

Are you beautifully haunted by memories of watching "I've Heard The Mermaids Singing" decades ago? If so, you will Love this film. It's gentle and intense, ugly and beautiful all at the same time. All components such as acting, design, sounds, etc. are top notch with no weak element at all to take your mind out of the movie. Yet, this film isn't for everyone. If so, please don't hate on Kajillionaire-- just move along. One review here notes, "Some really negative comments ... from people who can't tell the difference between an excellent movie that they don't like and a bad movie." I could see some viewers being pissed off that a film with grifters and conmen is actually all about the nuance and delicacy of the characters in each scene.

This movie is not conventional and that's what makes it wonderful. Slightly bizarre/surreal, so take that into account before watching, but it's not that far out there.
