This animated movie has Strong positive messages about having courage & being different is the best & being true to who you are. amazing colorful animation! Great facial expressions, perfect faces, has depth & has layers. Jake T. Austin is perfect for the main character: Khumba. Brave, friendly, kind, & determined. Liam neeson did a top-notch job as Phango the powerful half-blind leopard. Menacing, ferocious, & tough. & when phango shows up it gives you the chills & gives you shock. It has some funny moments. This movie has a great ending too. My main issue with this movie is that the rabbit has an australian accent. Africa is not the place to talk in an australian accent. Also the black egale is white, the story & scenes are ripping off the land before time & the lion king, & the mother zebra said the waterhole in the cave will give him stripes, but the mother either lied to khumba or she was wrong. Overall: this is a solid/fine animated film that i will reccomend to anyone.

I went into this thinking it was going to be a Madagascar rip off. I was very mistaken, but not sadly so! Khumba is a spritely character and though the story is very...VERY familiar to every other story out there, the visuals were interesting and the characters were entertaining. There were even quite a few funny jokes. There are a few plothole bunnies running around that you will never be able to solve, but I do like Khumba's spirit.
