À propos de ce film

A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).

This movie is pure fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously, with so many comic book movies are out to do in recent years, and the casting was great; even Nicolas Cage didn't manage to ruin the flick. And any movie that features a teen girl murdering drug dealers to the theme song of "Banana Splits," gets extra points. Overall, I'd give it an 85%.

I am outraged that I watch this entire movie and not one ass was kicked throughout the entire movie. However the rest of the action in the movie was pretty good and well most of the characters were good too and this is the only movie that doesn't make me want to hate and Nicolas Cage. 1/10 for false advertisement.

Yes, I know it was based off an even more violent comic, and that it is supposed to be a parody of the genre. But even so, it was a bit too gruesome for me. My biggest issue was the Big Daddy murder - something about it just went too far. Still, the movie overall does a pretty good job of capturing the original text.
