À propos de ce film

Self-made superhero Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and sweet-faced, foul-mouthed assassin Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) try to return to life as "normal" teenagers, but soon they are faced with their deadliest challenge yet. To seek revenge for his father's death, Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) has re-invented himself as the leader of an evil league of super-villains. To defeat their new nemesis, Kick-Ass and Hit Girl must team up with a new wave of masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), in this battle of real-life villains and heroes. Stay tuned after the credits for an additional 12 minutes of extra footage. (Original Title - Kick-Ass 2 (Extended))

I finally got around to watching this. First and foremost, Chloe Grace Moretz carried the entire film. I'm becoming a fan of her after seeing some really strong performances across a number of films. I didn't even recognize Jim Carrey until his mask got pulled off 3/4 of the way through the film which is good. Aaron Taylor-Johnson gives a decent performance considering the material but overall, this film isn't as good as the original. I think the main problem is Kick Ass started off as a campy take on the super hero film that had darker moments such as Damon Macready's (Nicolas Cage) final scene. Kick Ass 2 is a darker super hero film with campy moments. The opposite of the original film but the cheesiness of it all doesn't quite work with the darker tone. The violence was a bit of a shock as a result considering the tone of the original film. But here's the irony/silver lining. If there is a Kick Ass 3, it should be a proper super hero film with the first two installments making good origin material.

.....but all these so called "parents" letting their kids watch it are bad parents and don't need to have children in their lives. I saw somone in this review section who said they let their 3 year old watch it. Pathetic. To all you so called "parents" out there who let their kids watch this: I hope you do something to make child protective services take your kid(s) away.

Superb movie, totally spoiled by out of touch hollywood types who think f-bombs are acceptable for any social occasion. Loved it. And yet, Im embarassed to watch with even my own wife because this type of filthy language is not fit for a true lady. Truly odd that in the end the superheroes all decide that acting like a superhero means you should also omit swearing. Its like deep down, even the hollywood types who wanted the language in the film..even they know that f-bombs make moral people upset.
