About this movie

Sharing the screen for the first time in motion picture history, Academy Award winner Robert De Niro and two-time Oscar nominee John Travolta star in KILLING SEASON. Two veterans of the Bosnian War - one an American named Benjamin Ford (Robert De Niro), the other a former Serbian soldier, Emil Kovac (John Travolta) - engage in a tense, action-packed cat and mouse game, against the backdrop of America's most forbidding and remote landscape -- the Appalachian mountain wilderness. 2013 PROMISED LAND PRODUCTIONS, INC.

Brilliant movie which deserves a much higher rating. It manages to convey the hard true reality of war which goes far beyond killing & who is right or wrong. This is down to the wonderful performance from the two leads, particularly Robert De Niro, their pain is undeniable. It took me a while to realise what was going on between the two men, & when I did "get" it the ending was not disappointing in the slightest.

The acting in exceptional, but its not an easy journey. The pain is almost palpable. The ending is slightly disappointing but given its just two people on screen 90% of the time, its pretty commendable.

A hard hitting brutal film with two acting greats who deliver solid performances, even Travolta's accent is more than passable. Entertaining and watchable.......
