Not based on true events. Firstly these kids were adopted, secondly they were boys before undergoing mutilation. Look it up on YouTube if you don't believe me. Hate to sound like a crazy person but I was shocked by the information I saw also. Sad what people will do to children for fame and riches. This man is so evil and does not deserve to be portrayed as some hero in the black community.

Movie is not all true and has changed Most of the actual true events. This movie will forever be tarnished by Will Smith actions at the Oscars. Disgraceful actions and should have awarded taken away from him and black listed.

To all the losers writing bad reviews bc they don't like what WS did, GROW UP!!!! Write an ACTUAL review for the movie, and don't be so childish. This movie was very good.
