About this movie

From Ridley Scott, the visionary director of Black Hawk Down and Gladiator, comes this spectacular epic of courage, honor and adventure. Fairly historically accurate for a movie. As far as I can tell there aren't any major flaws in characters' clothing, weapons, etc. Story & acting generally good, I particularly like Edward Norton. Action scenes are well done as well. Definitely a must watch if you're into the time period. If you like it check out the directors cut. Also the sound quality of this version bothered me but it did not ruin the movie.

I can look past the cheesy lines and the pompous self-righteousness; what I can't overlook is the weird sound quality: It sounds as if there is a reverb or echo throughout the entire movie. 3 stars without the sound issues.

Great story line. Action scenes are wonderful. Interesting view of The Crusades. It also has underlying principles. Such as, treat others as you desire to be treated. Walking by faith no matter what it may look like. Doing things in secret will eventually always be revealed. Picked up a humorous saying from the movie. "God WILLS it!!!!" Too funny. GREAT movie. Loooooooong and entertaining.
