Orlando Bloom stars as Balian, a young Frenchman in Medieval Jerusalem during the Crusades, who, having lost everything, finds redemption in a heroic fight against overwhelming forces to save his people and fulfill his destiny as a knight.

Fairly historically accurate for a movie. As far as I can tell there aren't any major flaws in characters' clothing, weapons, etc. Story & acting generally good, I particularly like Edward Norton. Action scenes are well done as well. Definitely a must watch if you're into the time period. If you like it check out the directors cut. Also the sound quality of this version bothered me but it did not ruin the movie.

Great movie but as another user previously mentioned, the audio sounds awful! Like I'm listening through a tin can. Please fix it. Almost unwatchable.

I can look past the cheesy lines and the pompous self-righteousness; what I can't overlook is the weird sound quality: It sounds as if there is a reverb or echo throughout the entire movie. 3 stars without the sound issues.
