Usually sequels are not as good as the first but this movie breaks this routine. It's not as individually creative as the first but this is actually a good thing as it follows the games a bit more. The characters design is spot on I was worried about how Knuckles would look and how he would be portrayed but I think they did a great job. He is larger and beefier than some other designs but it's not over done and while he is gullible he is not stupid as some recent shows made him.

I love the second one more than the first if you make a fourth movie I want you to reintroduce Sonia and Manic AKA Sonic's older brother and younger sister PS I know that shadow is going to be in the third movie. I want you to make it that when Shadow first sees Sonic I want you to make him that he calls him Mr needlemouse AKA the original name for Sonic and add Amy Rose please and also add knuckles and tails🦔♦️🦊💛

Video game adaptation sequels are rare a lot and this one works. It is not necessarily great, as the first one is not either but that one is still fun, however Sonic 2 is a bit of a step above the first with it's funny bits and visuals and action. The wedding situation in particular gets done well, then gets heartfelt. The big robot is really cool looking too, and also the temple that is in the ocean in the film. Sonic 2 is a cool ride to take at the theater for sure and just in general.
