A recently apprehended criminal on his way to jail narrates his story to the police inspector after claiming that she has caught the wrong guy. He claims to be innocent and blames a man named Ramlal for committing the crime. The story follows two wannabe political partners-in-crime in Varanasi who turn against rivals when tragedy befalls. Meanwhile, in the same village, a rowdy village Romeo falls for a village belle and goes to extreme and dangerous lengths for his love. All their stories intertwine and connect with the enigmatic Ramlal, whose existence remains a mystery. Who is Ramlal and who is the criminal?
