In a fantasy adventure, set in a world peopled by creatures of myth and magic, a prince embarks on a quest to find the magical Glaive and then rescues his young bride. Colwyn (Ken Marshall) is the leader of a mythical sword-and-sorcery group in pursuit of "the Beast" that has kidnaped his fiance, Lyssa (Lysette Anthony). A classic fantasy romp. This movie helped ignite my imagination and love for magic and mayhem. Story is as wild as any from the 80s but still tons of fun. if your a fan of Willow or Conan, give this a shot. Its wonderful D&D hack and slash.

Fond memories of seeing this film as a 13 year old back in 1983. Of course the story was full of holes and lacked the polish of modern day sci-fi and fantasy films, but there is nothing like 80's cheese.

As trite as a princess rescue is for a plot foundation, this has some really cool ideas worked into it that still stick with me three decades later.
