The plot of "Lajja" revolves around the lives of four women from different parts of India. Manisha Koirala portrays the character of Vaidehi, who witnesses the mistreatment of women in her village. Determined to fight against injustice, she embarks on a journey to the city. Along the way, she meets three other women who have also faced discrimination and violence. Together, they challenge societal norms and work towards empowering women and bringing about positive change in society.
