Dylan O'Brien spielt die Hauptrolle in diesem spannenden Abenteuer voller epischer Action und Humor. Nachdem Monster die Welt übernommen haben, sind Joel (O'Brien, „The Maze Runner“) und der Rest der Menschheit gezwungen, im Untergrund zu leben. Gerade als Joel glaubt, alle verloren zu haben, die er je geliebt hat, findet er seine Highschool-Liebe Aimee (Jessica Henwick, "Game of Thrones") nur 80 Meilen entfernt. Angesichts der unbekannten Gefahren, die sich ihm in den Weg stellen, muss Joel seinen inneren Helden wecken, während er die unglaubliche Reise durch ein monsterverseuchtes Land antritt, um mit dem Mädchen seiner Träume zusammen zu sein. In weiteren Rollen sind Michael Rooker (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) und Ariana Greenblatt (“Avengers: Infinity War”) zu sehen.

Bewertungen und Rezensionen

I enjoyed the movie greatly. Acting was good, the writing was good. The story is good in the sense we have seen it before. Considering the production budget on this movie was 30mil the visuals are great. Remember, to get Marvel type visuals you are looking at a 150mil movie budget, so consider that. This movie is great in many ways. The main story and the underlying message from it are good and yes if you've seen a lot of stories in movies, shows, games then you've seen this story. Nothing is original. But its what the overall experience is like for that movie that matters. If you can see past the basics of the movie and consider the whole concept of the movie, this is a good watch. I give it 4 stars because nothing is perfect, not even End Game, nor Departure, nor Inception, etc, etc.

Better then I thought Didn't know what to expect with this, It delivered. It gave me a Very Daybreak on Netflix Vibe, the Monsters were very well done & characters were good, I think thats how Humans would act during an event like that. Characters were believable, we can't say they aren't, look at how ppl handle the pandemic. So I have this at 5 Stars, it was a Much needed Break for the mind during this Covid19 situation. Rent it or Buy it, this will help ya escape for an Hour an a Bit.

Family friendly Zombieland...with monsters instead of zombies. It's a solid movie, good production and effects, okay script but the lead actor could have been casted better. He wasn't horrible, he just didn't do anything for me and since he was in every scene, the movie suffered because of it. Recast it with Tom Hanks or someone with better comedic timing and facial expressions, and it would have been amazing.
