"L.A. Noire" minus WW2, plus better story with great main characters. Watching high quality helped me appreciate the '50s setting much more B-) throughout this lengthy plot. The overall crime plot isn't unique among modern films... many names to remember.

This is a movie I see over and over in part because it is complex and hard to remember. In part because it is just a great film with a great script full of memorable witty lines delivered by all kinds of interesting characters. The script is among the best. The scenes are magnificently put together. Every scene counts. Omitted from the credits on Google Play are Guy Pearce, who is top notch, David Strathairn, and a young Simon Baker. (The cast just takes the breath away.) Aside from all this technical work, the way that the three main police detectives learn to work together, despite their very different mindsets and types of expertise, to solve a crime, makes for really fine drama. Only the final shoot out is a little bit long, probably because few lines, except the clincher at its end.

I don't have words to describe this movie. Awesome acting by crowe, spacey and others. Thriller plot supported by great action. Things could not have been better than this
