Doze estranhos acordam depois de um apagão. Eles não sabem onde estão ou como chegaram lá. Eles não sabem que foram escolhidos... para um propósito bem específico: a caçada. Na sombra de uma teoria da conspiração na internet, um grupo de elite se reúne pela primeira vez em uma remota casa para caçar humanos por esporte. Mas o plano está prestes a ir por agua abaixo já que dentre os caçados está Cristal (Betty Gilpin), uma mulher que conhece o jogo melhor do que eles. Ela vira o jogo para os assassinos, captura um por um e caminha em direção à uma mulher misteriosa (Duas vezes ganhadora do Oscar® Hilary Swank) que está no centro de toda a caçada. Com produção de Jason Blum, de "Corra!" e da série "Uma Noite de Crime", e Damon Lindelof -- cocriador da série de TV The Leftlovers e Lost -, vem um novo e misterioso, provocativo e satírico thriller social. A CAÇADA é escrito por Lindelof e seu colaborador Nick Cuse e é dirigido por Craig Zobel. Blum produz sob o selo Blumhouse Productions.

This is very similar to previous battle royale movies. However, they put a very capable "Salt : Angelina Jolie" type in an unexpected lead. She has very little back story and that's fine. This movie is a run and gun type story with a few slow pieces in the middle. I enjoyed it as much as I did with Purge, BR, Blenko etc. It is quite fun and yes it's very political, however they're the extremes on both sides. Which is obviously satirical and making fun of both groups. It's merely a propellant for the story and that's really it. I watched the whole movie with a smile more or less on my face, because it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I'd recommend this to friends who like action or just like these types of movies.

This was supposed to be a thriller and all it did was make a joke out of Democrats and Replicans. I'm not a fan of the two party system myself but you don't see me making a multimillion dollar dumpster fire of a movie to bash on it (and not even in a funny way) do not give them your money. If you want this sort of thing done right go watch the purge.

Terrible movie. Definitely the worst movie I've seen this year, and one of the worst I've seen in a very long time. The first 20 minutes of the movie seemed like there would actually be something to the plot, but unfortunately it went way down hill. Very predictable if you pay any attention. The dialogue was very very corny. Don't waste the hour and a half on it.
