Ex-convict and recovering alcoholic Che (Benjamin Bratt) gets by on his macho persona, but lives for the love of his son Jesse (Jeremy Ray Valdez). When he discovers that Jesse has been living a secret life, Che reacts violently and is forced to examine his actions and the life he lives.
