La Rancherita (Hilda G. Reyna) is a singer who lives her life for a group of poor Mexican children. She puts all she has into an orphanage. But even with all her wonderful talents and all her funds she cannot pay the mortgage on the small ranch/orphanage in Texas. She has to do something she would never dream of: she has to get involved in a shady drug deal with a Tex Mex/Half Irish rancher who has an outlet in Spain for all his drugs. He is a menacing man (Blood In Blood Out's Damian Chapa) who doesn't play games. Damian plays Mr. King who tells La Rancherita "You either get those drugs to Spain or I'll kill you." La Rancherita will do anything to save her kids' ranch. She gets on a plane and risks her life to get her mortgage paid for her kids.
