About this movie

From Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman (Up in the Air, Juno), Labor Day is "a romance to root for"* starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin as two strangers drawn together under incredible circumstances. What starts as an unforeseen encounter over a long holiday weekend soon becomes a second chance love story in the unforgettable film that critics are calling "satisfying and deeply touching"** *Karen Durbin, Elle **Rex Reed, NY OBSERVER

It is truly possible to fall in love so quickly. This hits really close to home for me. This was beautifully done. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt like the ending was thrown together but then again it has to be around 2 hrs long and it's hard to fit such beauty into only 2 hrs ;)

I thought this was a great movie! I'll admit that it dragged on a bit in the middle (which is why I only gave it 4 stars), but the overall message and underlying themes struck me straight up. Kate and Gattlin were brilliant, and I really and truly felt for them.

The people who gave it a bad review are "men", no wonder they didn't like it. It's more of a chick flick. So don't listen to the men who were probably forced to watch. It's excellent movie and rich with emotion. Women will appreciate. Made me cry, loved it!
