Overall, easy to watch. loved the focus on era. But just a little dull. Really could have been a better storyline. Not bad but don't feel richer for watching it. Now, if the dad had bought the dress for the daughter and gifted it to her, that may have boosted it for me.

it was very australian, the best part is that it has a bloody ending. but it is funny, romantic, educational, cultural. it is sydney based and early david jones department store set up. I love it, it had flashes/footage of sydney in the 50/60's. I am normally a horror fan but i thoroughly enjoyed it. would recommend checking it out.

This is an excellent movie, good family movie, something for everyone. Actors are great, very authenic of the time period in Sydney and the disadvantage women faced in 1959 in Australia. Nice love story and plenty of humour as well. I recommend this film, well done Bruce you have done it again!
