Alone in her residence over a sweltering holiday weekend, a widow (de Havilland) is accidentally trapped in her home elevator during a power failure. Her meticulous, well organized world is shattered as the elevator, stalled nine feet above the floor, becomes a claustrophobic torture chamber -- a cage.

My teenagers watch this movie and I must say it held their attention, (no talking through the whole movie), especially for a movie that's in black and white to hold teenagers attention this movie is a must see, kids around 12 and older should see lady in a cage take my word for it you will love it. I am so surprise that they haven't made a remix. If they do it will be a smash hit.

Early 60s silliness. You just have to enjoy the movie for what it is. Cartoonish thriller.

This has 60's all over it. Great movie and very original script.
