Romero had his hands tied and had many producers to hurdle to get this 4th entry in his legendary 'Dead' series made. Many compromises result in an uneven film, that does and doesn't quite vibe with the previous three films but ultimately, 'Land' does belong to the older trilogy and is a total blast! All of the actors are fantastic for a film of this kind and they populate, fun original set pieces. The zombies have costumes and personality "and personality goes a long way" -Jules, Pulp Fiction๐Ÿ‘

So so zombie flick put out by Romero. Not his best work but not his worst either. Good production values but only put out to turn a buck.

Works both as an action movie and some of the sharpest social commentary I have seen. Romero understood metaphor. And had something to say. This movie is as much about societal classes as it is zombies, and it works perfectly.
