About this movie

Lewis (Dougray Scott -- My Week With Marilyn, Mission: Impossible 2), jumps on the last train leaving London, heading home after a long day's work. Striking up a relationship with the flirty and beautiful Sarah (Kara Tointon -- The Sweeney), he soon realises this is going to be a journey to remember, but for all the wrong reasons. In sleepy and abandoned carriages, stop after stop is missed and Lewis, along with the five other remaining passengers, ends up on a ride of a lifetime as the train hurtles relentlessly down the track. Hijacked by a vengeful sociopath who is hell-bent on crashing the speeding train, all six strangers must work together, if any of them are going to survive this death ride, which is destined for destruction.

It's a good film but gets a little far fetched towards the end which kind of ruins it ..shame really but ok for 1.99

I enjoyed it enough to actually buy it. Out of all the cast I feel only 1 deserves the "bad actor" award, which is the conductor - fortunately we don't see much of him. Next is the swearing. In certain circumstances swearing is understandable, such as being under considerable pressure as these guys were, but there was a load of bad language before any stress showed up. I know that character from Denmark was drunk, but there was still no need in my opinion. The only other big thing that put me off buying it off Google is the absence of subtitles. I need them because I have an oxygen pipe on which gives me a constant echoing hiss meaning I miss a lot of dialog. My family get really fed up with me asking what was said. Unfortunately I discovered the hard copy didn't have subtitles either.

It's a strangely low key movie but a solid thriller was a slightly off key atmosphere. Good characters rescue it from being mediocre and elevate it to good.
