A silly movie. The French don't do hard boiled very well. If you want a french thriller, watch "Day of the Jackal". If you want a street samurai movie, watch "Ghost Dog." This one tries to be both, and winds up being neither.

Truly a classic! Alain Delon is the epitome of cool. Wonderful direction by Melville. A must-see.
