Le Week-End" is a beautifully observed and poignant story of a long-married British couple (Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan) who return to Paris for the first time since their honeymoon to revitalize their marriage. The first part can be excruciating in parts as it is so honest. Stick with it. It shows how a couple lost sight of one another, and how it took a third person to get them to realise that they love one another. Very affirming.

The least enjoyable film I've seen in a long time. Watching two people sniping at each other is both dull and uncomfortable.

I must be missing the point with this film. I considered is it highbrow, philosophical or deep meaning? but no it's just tedious drivel. Most boring film I have seen in years with a soundtrack to match.
