In the search to find her dream career, Jodi (Katie McGrath, Jurassic World, Merlin) quits her mundane job in London and decides to try her luck at what she's passionate about: acting. Facing increasing pressure from a hotshot director, she travels to South Africa, in order to prepare for the role of a lifetime as an Afrikaans war heroine. After a chance encounter with the handsome but stubborn Kobus (Bok van Blerk), she persuades him to help her immerse herself in the culture – but in return she reluctantly agrees to arrange the quirky annual town concert.
