About this movie

When Anna's (Amy Adams) four-year anniversary to her boyfriend passes without an engagement ring, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Inspired by an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on Leap Day, Anna follows Jeremy (Adam Scott) to Dublin to propose to him. But after landing on the wrong side of Ireland, she must enlist the help of the handsome and carefree local Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. Along the way, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.

Delightfully funny film, simple story plot, predictable but the acting of Amy and Matthew is brilliant. Very much real life stuff; two people with different background and life story had to confront each other as well as confronting their own self. We get to see their frictions and the decision they made. Nothing in this film is over 'fictionalised'. The filming might not be in the actual Dingle (being logic, they have to be assess the feasibility of every aspect in filming) and the Irish accent might not be that Irish (otherwise viewers wouldn't understand a word of it) but the film is just great. It'd be probably my all time favourite

I have watched this literally so many times. I love it. As Irish as I am. So proud. So so funny. My jaw was sore afterwards from laughing. When I'm upset and down this is the film to watch. It uplifted my spirit up. Thinking about it now. I think I will watch it again. This would be my number one. I even have the same ring I was speechless when I saw it....

Waiting to buy it! I loved every minute of this romantically funny rom/com his Irish wit and her bossy driven attitude sends sparks flying and you know they’re the perfect match from the start and your willing it all the way through. Will definitely buy when it’s available I’m ready to ditch the dvd and go digital. Lots of best wishes during this hard time. XxXxX
