Nicolas Cage garnered a Best Actor Oscar for his hauntingly disturbing portrayal of a suicidal alcoholic who falls for a compassionate Las Vegas prostitute (Elisabeth Shue) in one of the year's most critically acclaimed films.
Absolutely heart wrenching and beautiful story. It is raw, honest, and
refreshingly real. I can never get through this movie without crying. I
always know how it will end, but can't help but hope for both main
characters that the inevitable will somehow change.
The audio was all over the place and so much unnecessary jazz. I kept having to turn it up and down. Not that it was worth watching anyway. At no point does anything realistic happen. The motives of the characters make no sense. The dialog is nonsense
