Professor Albus Dumbledore (Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?

I was pissed that they are shoving liberal garbage down people's throats and they ruined a great character. The new JK Rolling movies and books are absolute garbage 🤮 if I could give this movie a 0, I would. They basically made this movie about a romance between Dumbledore and Grindlewald. Absolute garbage. These new movies don't even exist to me now. I'll only be watching the old ones!

I would describe the movie as forced, lazy, not for kids, and not at all like the Harry Potter series it claims to be a part of. Harry Potter seemed to be more about wonder, adventure and hard lessons in friendships overcoming hardship. These movies have so much noise spread across the films and sure it looks great but still feels empty and disconnected. I don't see how Dumbledore became legendary due to these events.

Obviously, not having Johnny Depp as part of the cast was disappointing, however understandable for the time of production. The movie moved very slowly for the most part and just didn's seem as interesting as the previous prequels. Or maybe parts that might not have made the original cut were included as a ripple effect of JD not being part of the cast. In any case, the things that make HP movies magical are still there, but the script seemed lacking.
