A imaginação da criadora do Mundo da Feitiçaria J. K. Rowling traz-nos a série de filmes Monstros Fantásticos, que nos irão mostrar aventuras prévias à era de Harry Potter. No final do primeiro filme, o poderoso feiticeiro negro Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) foi capturado pelo MACUSA (Congresso de Magia dos Estados Unidos da América), com a ajuda de Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). Contudo, a prisão foi incapaz de conter Grindelwald, que após escapar começou logo a recrutar seguidores, muitos deles desconhecendo os seus verdadeiros motivos: levar os feiticeiros de sangue puro a dominar todas as outras criaturas não mágicas. Para impedir os planos de Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) convence o seu antigo aluno Newt Scamander a ajudá-lo, sem conhecer os perigos à espreita. Com o mundo da feitiçaria cada vez mais dividido, a batalha aproxima-se, testando o limite do amor e lealdade até dos amigos e família mais próximos.

used to like this movie but re-watching it i realize how stupid and lazy it is its worse than the emoji movie, the only thing i liked about this was the coats, they were cool, the costume designers were pretty solid with the coats, stupid twists especially at the end, why cant this guy just be a kid who was abused or something like that, i would literally rather see a movie about dinosaurs mating with rabid monkeys than this . but its worth it for those coats, they're really pleasing to look at. it feels like a fan-fiction written by a 14 year old. please please don't do a George Lucas root and make bad prequels (in my opinion the prequels would've been amazing if they were told better) then sign your company off to a company who will ruin your franchise, undoing everything accomplished in the originals. i would give this 2 stars for the coats but you didn't take the time to roll a button on the floor and you animated it so 1 star cos the film was bad

It's just not a good film, the plot is a meandering mess of contrived, borderline fan fictioney events and it wastes the excellent, setting, decent special effects and great cast. It really lacked the depth of Harry Potter and was a disappointment when compared to those films.

I loved the first. And this one is even better. It is so subtle and well thought out, and the music is outstanding especially the theme. The series are a MUST WATCH😊😊😊
