Would not recommend to a friend... I'll give Tom Hardy credit - his acting was spot on, and I often forgot that it was actually one person playing both brothers. That being said. I hated the movie. There was no climax, I kept waiting for something to happen, something to build up. The whole movie was a flat-lined story with an occasional violent brawl scattered in. So many opportunities to develop a real story in the movie and it's just like they cut all the ideas short.

From Academy Award-winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Mystic River) comes the true story of London's most notorious gangsters, twins Reggie and Ronnie Kray (Tom Hardy, Mad Max: Fury Road). As the brothers rise through the criminal underworld, Ronnie advances the family business with violence and intimidation while Reggie struggles to go legitimate for local girl Frances Shea (Emily Browning, Sucker Punch). In and out of prison, can't tell you everything 😊
Tom Hardy nails it down with amazing acting ability and diversity. Mirroring the outstanding job he did in "Lawless" despite an out of the gate questionable cast. Tom Hardy just notched one up on his belt of accreditation with this earthy, real, organic bit from an actual true story. One complaint.... his female co-star Emily Browning was just horrible and hard to believe in her role and should have left SuckerPunch as her acting jewel in her crown. She made, for me, the movie difficult to watch.
