Über diesen Film

Let Me In is a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by Matt Reeves (CLOVERFIELD), based on the best-selling Swedish novel "Let The Right One In" and highly acclaimed film of the same name. Chloë Grace Moretz (KICK-ASS) stars as Abby, a mysterious 12-year-old who moves in with a man who appears to be her father (Oscar®-nominee Richard Jenkins of THE VISITOR), next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee of THE ROAD), a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school. In his loneliness, Owen forms a profound bond with his new neighbor Abby, but can't help noticing that she is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders grips his wintry New Mexico town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl may not be what she seems.

Ignore the snobs. This is an excellent movie. Yes, it's nearly a direct remake of "Let The Right One In". Both are very good. Matt Reeves kept everything that was right with the original screenplay and improved upon it in a few key ways that really make a difference and make this one the version to see in my opinion. It doesn't take a bigger budget to leave out a cat scene with crappy special effects, or to represent the growing disconnect between Owen and his mother by keeping her face out of frame or out of focus, or to add a few scenes that more fully develop the bond between the two main characters, it just takes vision. I say well done Matt Reeves. And no, I don't hold any animosity towards foreign or subtitled movies. I think Reeves's use of music, his visual choices and cinematographic style make this a much more engrossing film, and the acting by Moretz and Smit-McPhee is superb! One of my favorite films.

A remake of the Swedish film Let the Right One In that loses much of the subtlety of its source material. Let Me In has some improved ideas like the car crash scene, but mainly falls short because of its backwards character development between the two main characters while wanting to tell you everything instead being like the original which let viewers assume and put things together. Let the Right One In fans should see Let Me In at least once, but I highly recommend newcomers to see the original first.

Chloe Moretz is a star, she can speak words with her eyes and a smiple turn of her head. See the movie what ever the cost, you'll not be sorry. Most of all remember the name Chloe Grace Moretz, she's a star now and for a long time to come. Remember, she is just 12 years old in the movie and watch her eyes and how she carries herself. Great great movie------Thank You
