The best movie I've seen in a really long time. It was intelligently written and acted. I adored having shots of scenery as overwhelming as the circumstances, set to Phillip Glass' music. The director clearly understands how to "set a scene". The film says so much about remorse, power, fate ,authority, morality and trust without ever shoving it down your throat. You're just along for the ride with the main character and don't see anymore of what is going on than he can until the end. And oh god, that end...

Excellent work by Zvyagintsev, though awfully depressing, so i won't recommend it to those searching inspiration, you won't find it in this movie.

Well made, a little slow, pointless ending and depressing
