Are you kidding me ? Disney meets disaster. This movie is beyond lame. The acting is not believable. The songs are sophomoric. The plot is not relevant. The director should be kicked out of the DGA and anyone associated with this turkey should turn in their SAG cards. Don't waste your time or money.

I’ve seen movie musicals. I’ve seen lesbian love story movies, and I’ve seen politically themed movies, but I’ve never seen a movie with all three! Refreshing and unique, Liberty’s Secret brims with wholesome charm and sly political commentary. The actresses are a lovely pair, and they are a fantastic addition to the pantheon of lesbian movie couples. And like any great musical, I have found myself humming the tunes and singing the lyrics. The final song sequence has a wonderful dreamlike quality that left me crying. Hooray for Liberty’s Secret!

In a time when politics is turning all the tables, there's no better escape than a film with the perfect balance of relatability, comedy, and music! Kick back and enjoy this All-American treat! The style pulls viewers back to a time of Technicolor MGM movie-musicals, which is hard to find in new releases. Reminiscent of the beloved new release La La Land, this film resonates with lovers of theater, LGBT, and politics alike. **potential spoilers ahead** In 98 minutes, we experience a character begin in a wholesome religious life and, unlike many films of its kind, Liberty maintains her beliefs without becoming a martyr as she steps out of the closet and embraces who she is. It is a truly refreshing tale.
