The movie is about Buzz Lightyear (obviously). You know, from Toy Story. The premise is that Buzz is a "real" space ranger. This is a well animated sci-fi story involving some time travel. It was better than expected. I finished it. Had to roll my eyes a little at the final act. Too cliche. Word of advice to parents, this movie is intended for older children and grown-ups. Smaller kids will likely get bored and disappointed this is not a silly Toy Story-like movie.

Terribly mediocre and bland. It goes through exact same boiler plate pixar formula because making good movies for children is hard, and they've already done that before. The fact that movie has one slightly controversial scene that overshadows the entire movie itself is telling of it's overall quality. It has no merits to stand on its own and will only be remembered for being mildly controversial.

Sad that they emphasized the "Woke" agenda in the scenes they could have been building a better movie towards. Disney has proclaimed what it's movies are going to be about from now on, so not surprised to see the values of Toy Story completely upended in this take on Buzz Lightyear. I wish it could have been made apart from the agendas. Way too apparent to overlook.
