À propos de ce film

Get ready for the wildly original story about an independent little girl named Lilo and her adopted alien "puppy," the mischievous Stitch, a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet. After crash-landing on Earth, Stitch wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, but he also learns about loyalty, friendship and 'ohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family. There's excitement and entertainment for every member of your 'ohana!

This is the saddest and deepest Disney movie ever. Lilo names stitch because she is hoping that he will be the solution to fixing her broken family. Her parents died in a rainy car crash so in order to prevent that from happening again she feeds the weather controlling fish pudge. Lilos friends abandoned her because over time she became weird from coping the death of her parents. And nani doesn't use the bug in the garage so lilo won't lose her the same way her parents died...

Being a 90s child, I have seen my fair share of Disney movies. When this movie came to theaters I was expecting to be entertained, but not all that impressed. Little did I know, I was in for a treat. Now, ten years after the fact, Lilo and Stitch still has a place in my top ten Disney movies. It's right up there with Aladdin, The Lion King, and Toy Story.

After rewatching a ton of Disney Classics, I'd say Lilo & Stitch holds up way better than most. The setup is straightforward, the progression of the story makes sense, and there is a great balance between action/comedy/drama (for a cartoon movie) to keep you engaged in the story. Plus the music soundtrack is an amazing mix of island and Elvis music which is used to emphasize the scenes. Totally re-watchable and highly recommended.
