About this movie

Suat is an elderly truck driver who lives in Macedonia. He is on his death bed and has a dying wish of his son Sakip: he wants Sakip to locate and bring back his other son, whom he had years ago in Istanbul with a woman he was married to religiously, but not legally. He yearns to see this other son, whom he abandoned when he was just a baby, one last time and get his blessing before he passes away. Sakip, upon learning he has a brother, sets off from Macedonia to Istanbul, driving his father’s old car. All he knows is that his brother’s name is Selim, plus an old address his father gave him. The two brothers fail to hit it off from the first moment on. Sakip tells of their father’s final wish, but Selim refuses to accept the situation. He has no interest in going to Macedonia. But Sakip is determined to convince him and take him to their father as soon as possible. But since he cannot convince Selim, one night Sakip kidnaps a drunken Selim, puts him in the car, and they hit the road.

Ali Atay is a good director and he is getting better with every movie. His characters are real, everything is balanced perfectly. I like the sense of humor, reflection of emotions and real lives. I feel good after watching his movies.
