Glad I got to see this one. Many people argue about the causes of the Civil War, and this is a look at what roles each of those causes played, and why abolitionists who hated slavery, but looked the other way for decades, would suddenly turn around and make it the defining political struggle of the Civil War. Has a huge cast, it's impossible you won't see anyone you recognize.

Rotten tomatoes gave this an 89. They are wrong as usual, once in a while they get it right. This movie score is 100 across all boards. Just like the critics got Star Wars wrong. They got Lincoln wrong. One of the best movies I have ever seen in my life and I love movies and critic movies myself. Learn to critic the movies and not how you would have made the movie. Then and only then can you rotten tomatoes can become good critics.
