Keanu Reeves, Bridget Fonda and recording artist Chris Isaak star in this motion picture spectacular from Academy Award- winning director Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor, 1987). In Seattle, Jesse Conrad and his parents (Fonda and Isaak) discover a story about a prince named Siddhartha (Reeves) in a land of miracles. But the miracle becomes real when Tibetan monks appear, searching for their reincarnated leader - who they believe has been reborn as Jesse. as their two different worlds meet, an extraordinary adventure unfolds.

With real Buddhists, the story of Siddhartha is dramatically explained. More mature than Bill and Ted's adventure, but not as mature as the matrix, Keanu Reeves does a great job.

the story of gautama reaching the point of true buddha. and full enlightenment. 5 star , the only thing of this movie I was a little dislike was the children. but still the message was clear, and again this is a movie. it was enjoyable all the way.

Beautifully presented as a narrative story, told by a Buddhist Monk. 'Hollywood' style looses some of the grace ,still . . . worth a viewing.
