I have been following Allen Gorg and family for many years. He has been consistent in his pursuit of truth threw his teachings and films. for example: "LIVING THE BLUES". This film points to the fact that one of the most persistent as well as the most important contributions and original art forms that America has produced "THE BLUES". it is the afro- american that has made this contribution. It is this film" LIVING THE BLUES" that so aptly points this out At the street level, were it was created, and will always remain in it's soul. The blues has captured the attention of the whole world and has been changing cultures for a century or more. this film takes you to the street, the black street, were the truth always prevails. the film does not use seasoned actors, (with the exception of Galyn Gorg) and this gives it an authenticity and simplicity that makes it worth watching. Being a part of this film was an amazing experience. As an actress and producer working with my Father (Director) was a once in a lifetime journey that I will forever be grateful for. As a director he was a focused leader with a crystal clear vision of what needed to occur during production to ensure the most effective storytelling. Shooting on the streets of Los Angeles with gritty locations, and settings that express the life of the characters created a powerful backdrop for this story. Working with actors, cinematographer, producers, and make-up artists, who were deeply invested in developing a dynamic film was amazing. We had a fantastic, beautiful, creative, family oriented experience. I highly recommend this film! Enjoy!!!

If you're a blues fan and want to take a walk down memory lane this film is for you. More than a simple love story about a racially mixed teenage couple, it's a story about passion and dreams and overcoming whatever it takes to pursue what's important to you.
